Christmas & New Year festivities 2008
Blend time honoured seasonal traditions with a handpicked selection of unique musical, culinary and leisure pursuits for the family. The Ickworth Hotel and Apartments invite you to join us for the finest festive experience. There is no better setting for an enchanting Christmas, Recharger and New Year break.
From the minute you arrive, you and your family will be treated as if you
are staying at a friends stately home. With all the preparation normally
associated with Christmas taken away, you can simply concentrate on celebration
in style. In an informal atmosphere you will enjoy a great line up of entertainment,
for adults and children alike, in the luxurious surroundings of this magnificent
house and its rolling 1800 acres of National Trust Parkland.
We hope you will be tempted by this years packages, apart from the entertainment listed in the programme we have a myriad of leisure facilities at the hotel, including our heated indoor pool, Aquae Sulis retreat, riding stables, tennis and all the glorious estate has to offer.

| Tuesday 23 December |
Arrive to a buffet lunch, followed
by afternoon tea and supper for the children. Children are supervised
in Club Blu watching DVD’s from 7pm to 10 pm while you enjoy
a wine tasting master class followed by dinner in Frederick’s
restaurant. |
| Wednesday 24 December |
After breakfast there will be a circus morning
for the children with laser clay pigeon shooting for older children
and adults just before a buffet lunch. The afternoon activity is
giant slot car racing prior to children’s tea. Carols fill
the halls with festive song during the early evening followed by
Champagne cocktails and canapés and a black tie gala dinner.
Once again the children are supervised watching a DVD and eating
popcorn in Club Blu. |
| Thursday 25 December |
Christmas day, Father Christmas arrives after
breakfast with presents for everyone, family lunch is served at 12noon
or 2pm, board games are available to play all afternoon with a family
buffet in the evening. |
| Friday 26 December |
Laser quest commences after breakfast followed
by a buffet lunch and children’s play drama. The afternoon
can be spent walking the grounds of the estate with a guide, return
to the hotel for a well deserved afternoon tea, with dinner in Frederick’s
in the evening. |
The Four Bears Den is supervised from
10am to 4.45pm every day except Christmas day. |

Arrive to a buffet lunch, followed by afternoon tea
and supper for the children. Children are supervised in Club Blu
watching DVD’s from 7pm to 10 pm while you enjoy dinner in
Frederick’s restaurant. |
Sunday 28 December &
Monday 29 December |
Breakfast is served until 10am with a buffet lunch served at your
leisure from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. Afternoon tea is available all afternoon.
Once again the children are supervised watching a DVD and eating
popcorn in Club Blu while you dine in Frederick’s. |

tie gala dinner and dancing. The children are supervised watching
DVD’s and eating popcorn in Club Blu until midnight when they
can join their parents to see the New Year in. |

Christmas and New Year Package:
Prices include everything, VAT at 17.5%, full board, all wine and drink, and everything listed on our programme (spa and horse riding are not included in the programme, are charged as extras to individual room accounts and must be pre booked in advance)
Recharger Package:
Prices include full board, all wine, drinks, and VAT at 17.5%
Hotel tariff notes: For single occupancy add 50% to the price per person. A third adult sharing a room or suite will receive a 25% discount.
Apartment tariff notes:
A third or fourth adult occupying an apartment will be charged at full price when sharing a two bedroom apartment. When sharing a one bedroom apartment a 25% discount will be applied.
Childrens tariff:
Babies under two years, sharing their parents room or apartment, are free.
Children two to twelve years, sharing their parents room or apartment – Christmas £295 per child / Recharger £190 per child / New Year £220 per child.
Children twelve to eighteen years receive 50% discount on adult price if sharing their parents room or apartment.
Children twelve to eighteen years receive 10% discount on adult price if occupying their own room or apartment.
Reservations made by telephone must be confirmed immediately with a £500
deposit per room, full payment is due by 1st October 2008.
Once confirmed, bookings will be subject to a 100% cancellation charge in respect of any places we are unable to re-sell. We strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance cover. |
