June
Sunday 8th June - Vineyard Discovery Day
Explore Ickworth’s vineyard with a self-guided trail. See where the grapes are grown for the award-winning Ickworth wines and finish off with some wine tasting.
Wednesday 18th June - Aesops Fables at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds
Three actors and a one-man-band combine with a host of colourful characters to magically recreate the most enchanting stories ever told, including The Hare and the Tortoise, The Goose that Laid the Golden Egg and The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
Performance lasts about 60 minutes. Recommended for children aged 4 and above.
Saturday 28th June - Farmily Fun Day with Sheep Shearing at Jimmy’s
Farm
The weather is getting warmer and the sheep are too hot! Come along and see the farm sheep shearing in action! There will also be a bouncy castle, animal petting, face painting, games and stalls. 2 for 1 tickets exclusively for Ickworth Hotel and Apartments residents!

Sunday 3rd August 6-9pm Much Ado about Nothing
The Lord Chamberlain’s Men present Shakespeare’s comedy classic. Performed in true Shakespearian style with an all-male cast, relevant costume, music and dance, to fire the imaginations of young and old alike. To Book call 01284 769505
Tuesday 5th August 11am – 4pm Hedgehog Day
A fun day for all the family. Meet a hedgehog and go on a hedgehog trail. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for Trusty!
Thursday 7th August Children’s Victorian Cookery Workshop
A great family event and a chance to discover what people were eating from the top table in the grand dining room to the lowliest servant in the depths of the Kitchen. Learn to make summer pudding for the lady of the house, plum bread for the gardeners and Yorkshire puddings for the master of the house. Having cooked all morning we will eat our feast followed by an afternoon of games in the orchard, homemade lemonade and delicious cakes. Recommended ages 7 – 13

Pirates & Princesses

Continue your pirate adventures and enjoy Quantum Theatre’s swashbuckling performance, set in days of snail ships and pirates. Treasure island tells of the adventures of Jim Hawkins and his search for the buried treasure of the notorious pirate Captain Flint. In this new adaptation by Michael Whitmore the aim is to be faithful to the book whilst creating a lively action packed show for all the family. To book call 01284 769505.

Be entertained by the Bill Brookman Theatre company, help decorate the Dragon’s Lair by making swords, shields and wands. Try your hand at circus skills and then watch the performance of The Elves and the Shoemaker. Recommended ages 5 – 11

This outstanding production is a true commemoration of the legendary music and life of three of the greatest entertainers who ever graced the stage and screen.
