The Dower house is perfect for those with a similarly independent spirit and really does offer the best of both worlds. Just 800 yards from the main hotel, it offers spacious accommodation within its own four acres of gardens. These are ideal for large families, groups of friends, or those who simply want to get away from it all.

There’s a laundry room with washer/dryer and guests are provided with a wide selection of DVDs, Playstation and board games. In the converted garage, there’s even table tennis and air hockey. Guests have full access to all the facilities in the main hotel, but also have rather more space to themselves. Each apartment includes a microwave and convection oven, fridge and dishwasher for those that want to rustle up light meals or snacks. Having said this there’s a full take-away food service provided from the main hotel, as well as baby sitting at a small charge.

The recently refurbished Butlers Lodge, just a stones throw from the main hotel, is great for larger families, with three bedrooms, a bathroom full kitchen, large living space and its own walled garden.
