The market town of Bury St Edmunds is just 3 miles away. Take a stroll around the famous abbey gardens of St Edmund or watch a show at the Theatre Royal, recently refurbished, one of the most beautiful, intimate and historic theatres in the world.

Visit Aldeburgh, just an hour’s drive away, and experience the stunning historic coastline, or Southwold, famous for its exclusive, multi coloured beach huts. Lavenham, the home of medieval wool towns with its crooked, timbered cottages and ancient church is also a must for visitors.

Suffolk contains some wonderful historic sites and buildings including the dramatic castles at Framlingham and the famous ship burial of an Anglo Saxon warrior king and his most treasured possessions at Sutton Hoo.

Heritage Suffolk is the heart of horse racing. Newmarket boasts two race courses, the National Horse Racing Museum and National Stud. Most early mornings you can see race horses exercising on the gallops.
