Hotel guests gain free admission to the rest of Ickworth, opening up 1800 acres and a range of facilities for you to enjoy.
Alongside the hotel are an Italianate Garden, pleasure grounds and walled garden, along with acres of far-reaching parkland. The beautifully tended estate provides an almost infinite choice of picnic spots, walks and play areas; meaning you can enjoy a full day out right on our doorstep.
The National Trust cares for the basement of Ickworth House, which is open to the public (and free to guests). The basement brings alive the stories of the servants that lived and worked at Ickworth. Walk the corridors as they did, exploring life in the 1930s. For children, there are plenty of hands-on activities, with the chance to discover a servant’s ‘tools of the trade’.
Throughout the seasons, the Trust runs a busy calendar of activities in and around the house, garden and estate. To find out more, visit the National Trust Ickworth website.
